Press Release: MyMediabox Attends BLE!

Conecture Technologies, LLC will be showcasing its industry leading product approvals workflow application, Mediabox-PA (part of the MyMediabox consumer products licensing software suite) at Brand Licensing Europe, which is held from October 16-18 in London. Executives will demo the latest version of Mediabox-PA that offers a new UI, bulk close of projects, a messaging tool and more. MyMediabox's deal memo system, Mediabox-DM, which integrates with Mediabox-PA will be showcased as well.

With Mediabox-PA (Online Product Approvals), the entire approval process is all in one easy-to-find location. Once logged into the system users can complete a new product approval form, submit concept designs through final production samples and preview, comment and mark up designs on screen. Automated email notices, role-based approvals workflows, business rules and archiving make the system even more robust. The newest addition to the MyMediabox suite, Mediabox-DM, allows Licensors to track all deal memo terms, via automatic imports from third-party rights and royalty systems or direct data entry. Mediabox-DM also regulates the types of projects a Licensee can start in the system.

Eric Rennagel, CEO and Founder of Conecture Technologies, LLC states, "As always we are excited to attend BLE, it is a great opportunity to showcase the upgrades to the MyMediabox suite made throughout the year to current and potential clients."

Executives will have the opportunity to view a brief demonstration and speak with representatives about MyMediabox applications during Brand Licensing Europe.

Licensing, Not Just for Traditional Character Brands

Hopefully our blog posts have made it clear that licensing is no longer an industry just for character brands. Musicians, celebrities, fashion lines, museums, non profits and many other types of businesses have entered the licensing scene.

According to Publisher's Weekly, one of the newest brands to enter the marketplace is E.L. James' now infamous Fifty Shades of Grey book triology (seen above). As of August 14, CopCorp Licensing (Agent for Fifty Shades of Grey), had sealed three licensing deals for the brand.

Soon consumers will be able to buy Fifty Shades of Grey hosiery, pajamas and day time apparel (including: t-shirts, tops and hoodies).

Press Release: Product Approval Workflow Upgrade Announced!

Mediabox-PA 3.0

Conecture Technologies, LLC has rolled out a major upgrade to its current hosted product approval workflow system. Mediabox-PA provides Licensors and Agents an organized platform for reviewing new product submissions from Licensees. Mediabox-PA 3.0, the latest version of Conecture Technologies' creative workflow, has a fresh User Interface, a new messaging tool, bulk close capabilities and more.

Eric Rennagel, Founder and CEO of Conecture Technologies, LLC, states "The updated User Interface allows for future additions and improvements to the system, it also allows us to move seamlessly to the mobile version we plan to launch before the end of the year. New features launched with the new UI, like messaging and bulk close will prove very useful for MyMediabox users. Licensees will continue to use the system to login, review comments and submit new or next stage product designs.

Existing Mediabox-PA users will automatically be moved to the new system. Upgrades are inclusive for all MyMediabox clients. All new MyMediabox clients will be set up on the latest version as well.

Monetize Your Cloud: Brand Licensing

Now that you have the "cloud", the question is what are you going to put in it?

If you have not considered intellectual property (commonly: brand names, icons, characters) you should.

Why? According to the Federal Trade Commission, less than 10 years ago 80% of the components of the S&P 500 Market Value were intangible assets (intellectual property being the largest component). In 2008, global licensing revenue was greater than $150 Billion USD and growing at a rate of 25-35% a year. Yet, while global licensing revenue has increased by up to 35%, IBISWorld (the world's largest independent publisher of U.S. industry research) calculates that the number of companies operating in this field has only increased by 1% annually.

Licensing your intangible assets is an easy way to grow your revenue. If you own the rights to vintage brands, revive them. Established assets do not require extensive marketing or exposure. Newer assets? Test the waters at one of many global licensing trade shows.Once you have interested licensees and have negotiated rights contracts, it is up to your licensees to produce.

Licensees want the rights to your products, most often because there is already a demand for your brand, icon or character. Instead of taking a chance on a new brand name, they buy the reassurance that your brand recognition gives them. They then create products using the rights you have sold them-- all pre-approved by you.

That is where MyMediabox comes in. MyMediabox offers cloud technology specifically tailored to the needs of the licensing industry. Store, share and promote digital assets with licensees in Mediabox-DAM. From there interact with licensees throughout the entire creative process with Mediabox-PA (we can even integrate Licensor/Licensee contracts using Mediabox-DM). The MyMediabox suite helps you ensure the integrity of your brand, while you grow your revenue through licensing.
