MyMediabox Feature: Messaging

Within Mediabox-PA (Product Approvals) the "Messaging" tool provides a centralized location for all dialogue concerning the approvals process. Conversations can be made at the project and submission level and allow licensees and licensors to interact and make additional comments between stages.

For the licensee, “Messages” provides a means to ask the licensor more detailed questions about a change request.

For the licensor, "Messages" provides a means to give the licensee additional direction or changes that they may have forgotten to submit with the previous changes.

The "Messaging" feature is another value added tool that allows MyMediabox to help improve work flow, reduce time to production and save money between a licensor and licensee.

Brand Licensing Europe 2013

This year’s Brand Licensing Europe is the biggest show to date. In attendance are more non-UK exhibitors than previous years. The new “brands” section is located on the upper floor and has space dedicated to companies that solely appeal to children as well as those for a more adult audience.

The main floor of BLE consists of an abundance of major brands in the character, film, TV, and entertainment licensing. The show is expecting to see a burst in opportunities from the digital world. There will be exhibitor parties on-stand and outside the show venue in the evening, as well as other events and networking opportunities.

BLE 2013 is shaping up to be a success!

Licensing International Expo 2012

Going into Licensing International Expo 2012, MyMediabox knew it would be a great show. Of the 76 leading licensors with live MyMediabox sites,  nearly 90% were at LIE as either an exhibitor or an attendee. With three full days at our disposal, MyMediabox did not waste any time meeting with current and potential clients.

MyMediabox President, Eric Rennagel, states "Licensing International Expo provides a great environment to network with professionals in the licensing industry. Current clients respond and give feedback to upgrades and new functionality, while prospective clients increasingly recognize the added value that the MyMediabox suite offers- a simplified product approval workflow, digital asset management and deal memo management- all available via remote access."

To see more on this years expo, check out the video below:

MyMediabox clients with a presence at the show included: American Greetings, Big Tent Entertainment, King Features, BBC, Paramount, Elvis, John Wayne, Sanrio and SeaWorld. As you can see Licensing International Expo was a hit... but, how could it not be with a Gene Simmons siting and SeaWorld directly across from the MyMediabox booth?! Penguins and kookaburras and legless lizards, oh my!

Licensing International Expo 2011

With an estimated 19,000 attendees from 84 countries, this year’s Licensing International Expo was a huge success! Animal mascots paraded through the show floors while live penguins and otters participated in booth decor- needless to say the walkways were full of excitement!

The show was comprised of more than 200 booths representing 6,000 brands/intellectual properties, which was an increase of more than 12 percent in brands represented as compared to the 2010 show. It looks like Advanstar has already confirmed the dates for next year’s show- which will again take place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas (sacbee.com). The name of the show will change from Licensing International to Brand Licensing Expo to reflect more of what the show is really about, the brands (licensing.biz.com).

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth this year! We had a great time meeting with customers, potential clients and licensees as they stopped by for a demo or to say hello. Also, congratulations to our licensee iPod shuffle winners!

Liverpool Football Club teams up with My Mediabox for online Product Approvals and Digital Asset Management

Liverpool Football Club is utilizing Mediabox to manage their product approvals and digital asset management. Through Mediabox they are able to shorten turnaround time and reduce costs while streamlining the product approval process for Licensees internationally.

Liverpool Football Club joined a group of over fifty-five leading Licensors and Agents from around the globe, when it licensed the Mediabox-PA (product approvals workflow) and Mediabox-DAM (digital asset management) software systems in 2009 and 2010, respectively. “We are honored to work with a Premier League football club powerhouse like Liverpool Football Club to help them streamline their licensed product approvals workflow and digital asset management by using Mediabox-PA and Mediabox-DAM as they expand their popular brand through multiple product categories,” says Conecture Technologies CEO Eric Rennagel. Liverpool FC has been using their customized Mediabox systems with licensees worldwide.

“The Mediabox-PA and Mediabox-DAM systems have allowed us to streamline our product approval systems and improve our asset management, benefiting both Liverpool FC and our licensees,” says Marie-Louise Culbert, Senior Trademark & Licensing Manager, Liverpool FC.

Conecture Technologies’ Mediabox-PA system enables Licensees to submit all their product design artwork files to the Licensor or Agent through a centralized online system. Mediabox-PA also enables Licensors and Agents to review the submitted artwork online, link their comments with each artwork file, and manage the workflow order of projects and submissions between their Licensees and their own staff. Licensees also use the application to log in and review comments and submit new, revised product designs though a 100% paperless workflow. All traffic, milestones, and activity are tracked and reported in real-time enabling Licensors to measure various performance metrics.

Through the Mediabox-DAM application Licensors and Agents are able to grant their Licensees controlled access to the high-resolution artwork, logos, images, documents and other digital materials according to the contractual rights the Licensee has acquired.
