With an estimated 19,000 attendees from 84 countries, this year’s Licensing International Expo was a huge success! Animal mascots paraded through the show floors while live penguins and otters participated in booth decor- needless to say the walkways were full of excitement!The show was comprised of more than 200 booths representing 6,000 brands/intellectual properties, which was an increase of more than 12 percent in brands represented as compared to the 2010 show. It looks like Advanstar has already confirmed the dates for next year’s show- which will again take place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas (sacbee.com). The name of the show will change from Licensing International to Brand Licensing Expo to reflect more of what the show is really about, the brands (licensing.biz.com).
