Among the new U.S. licensees are Toynami, Shirt Lab, Whatever Company, Advanced Graphics, Multiverse Studios and Changes. Each licensee will be creating different toys, clothing items, and other merchandise for the brand.

MyMediabox signed on SMC as a client earlier this year. They now use our hosted applications (Mediabox-DAM, Mediabox-PA and Mediabox-DM) to streamline their licensing processes with licensees. Tips for Keeping Your DAM System Healthy

A digital asset management system is a great tool for saving time and money. Hosted systems like Mediabox-DAM allow users to manage and share assets from one convenient location with any internal or external guest who has an internet connection.

Want to make sure your DAM system remains healthy? Here are a few tips:

  1. Be aware of aliased assets- duplications lead to redundant data
  2. Archive old files- access activity reports to see which files are accessed infrequently
  3. Reorganize your folders- delete or update old folders
  4. Analyze your folders- if you have thousands of assets in one folder you might want to create subfolders
  5. Identify required metadata- inform users uploading assets which metadata fields are necessary

A yearlong collaboration between two MyMediabox clients, DreamWorks Classics and the NYC & Company tourism and marketing organization, will have Where’s Waldo? serving as New York City’s fifth official Family Ambassador. The Family Ambassador program was created to help position New York City as a safe, welcoming and family-friendly destination back in 2009. Previous Family Ambassadors include The Muppets, The Smurfs, Dora the Explorer and Sesame Street.

Waldo will encourage travel to NYC by highlighting attractions, hotels, landmarks, neighborhoods, cultural institutions, parks and more. NYC & Company will be able to use Waldo’s international and domestic recognition to reach people of all ages from around the world and encourage them to visit New York City.
