Traditionally fashion brands have forgone Licensing Expo in lieu of MAGIC (AdAge). However, this past June Licensing International Expo saw exhibitors including: Skechers, Paris Blues, Von Dutch, LA Gear, Nicole Miller, Perry Ellis, Vera Bradley and Cherokee Group to name a few.
Fashion brands at the show are not the only brands entering into licensing. In June 2011 the Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation licensed the rights to Ram Pacific to market and distribute the Phillips-Van Heusen izod brand in Singapore. In August 2011 Victoria Secrets PINK and the National Football League teamed up to design the Pink NFL apparel line together that is sold at Victoria Secret stores. In December 2011 the Tommy Hilfiger Group (owned by Phillips-Van Heusen) licensed Tommy Hilfiger men's and women's runway collections for Fall 2012-Spring 2013 to Ittierre S.p.A. And, in January 2012 Kenneth Cole gave licensing rights to Delta Galil Industries, Ltd. for Kenneth Cole men's and women's underwear (www.fashionnewspaper.com).
While fashion brands are just entering the licensing space, the workflow needs are the same. First time Licensing International Expo fashion exhibitor, Cherokee Group, is a testament to the fact. After meeting at this years Licensing International Expo, Cherokee Group chose MyMediabox for their product approval workflow.
