MyMediabox Client, Sony, Considers Cloud Gaming

As a HUGE proponent of cloud computing (offering hosted solutions ourselves), it is very exciting to hear that one of our clients might unveil a hosted solution of their own this year!

Although only rumors at this point, Sony is expected to announce the launch of a cloud gaming platform that would allow users to stream games in real time. If you are a gamer you can appreciate the gravity of this... No more waiting forever for your game to download. The rumor arose from a public relations release from E3 (The Electronic Entertainment Expo), referencing a "partnership deal between PlayStation and a leading cloud gaming service." The platform is expected to go live this year. 

With E3 just around the corner, June 5-7, 2012, we won't have to wait long to find out if the rumor is true. If it is, MyMediabox welcomes Sony to the world of cloud computing!
