Open Zipped Files on Mac with Stuffit Expander


 If you work on a MAC, sometimes you may have trouble opening files downloaded from a browser that is designed to work with a PC. Stuffit Expander can help you become compatible.

StuffIt Expander opens files created with WinZip®, 7zX, iShrink, SimplyRAR, Rarify, Rucksack, BetterZip, RarMachine, GUI Tar, CleanArchiver, Springy, TarPit, RAR, Ez7z, Keka, and the compression utilities built into recent versions of Windows and Mac OS X.

Minimum System Requirements:Mac OS X 10.5 or higher. OS Lion compatible
Multi-language – English, German and Japanese

To Install Stuffit Expander:

1. Go to http://www.stuffit.com/mac-expander.html
2. Scroll down to the section of the page to enter your name and email
3. Once you have entered your information, click “Download”




4. You will then be prompted to select your Operating System: The default version is compatible with Snow Leopard – (So, if you have a MAC from 2009-Present this will work with your device). If you have an older version -- select the appropriate Operating System version.
5. Select “Download”




6. Be sure the download completed. You can confirm by verifying the StuffIt Expander Icon is in your “Applications” Folder.
