Jing Project by TechSmith

Jing allows users to take an image or video of what is on their computer screen. If uploaded using a screencast account, the program automatically creates a URL to the image or video that can be shared with others.

Our team utilizes Jing Pro to create video tutorials for our Mediabox users. Creating video tutorials has helped our staff reduce the amount of time our support team spends training on simple functionality, which allows them direct their attention to more urgent needs.

There are 2 versions available by TechSmith, a free version Jing Free, as well as the upgraded Jing Pro.

Jing Free comes with the following features:

• 5-minutes of screen recording 
• Screencast.com Free Account

Jing Pro has a yearly fee of $14.95 which upgrades your account to allow for:

• Webcam recording
• Instant sharing to YouTube
• MPEG-4 Videos
