We work very hard at Mediabox but we also love our “family time” and for me and my family, Halloween is one of our favorite holidays. We have become “the” house to visit in our neighborhood because each year we do something to scare the older kids (and parents) but also make it fun for the little ones.
This year we set up a haunted maze in our front yard in which people had to go through a number of “haunted” areas such as “live” skeleton hands grabbing for people through a wall, my daughter reaching for people from a tree as they enter the maze, fog machines, strobe lights, scary cemetery and me jumping out in a very scary vampire outfit at the end and chasing people out of the maze.
My wife was dressed as a zombie this year handing out the candy. Our front porch was decorated in a zombie lair with spider webs, lighted candles and Halloween lighting effects.
One of these years, since our kids have all grown, we will stop with the decorations but so far, the neighborhood kids won’t let us stop. They start asking what we will be doing starting as soon as school starts so as long as we enjoy it, we will continue.
Yes, we work hard to meet our partner’s needs and goals, but we also like to have fun.
